HUNTINGTON, West Virginia (Jan. 30, 2020) –The FIU women's basketball team picked up a 68-65 road victory against Marshall on Thursday night.
The Panthers improve to 5-15 overall and 2-7 in conference play on the season, while Marshall falls to 7-12 overall and 2-6 in league action.
FIU was led by Ieva Spigule, as she posted a career-high 18 points. Chelsea Guimaraes also helped in the victory, earning her fourth double-double of the season with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Marshall's Savannah Wheeler led her team with 19 points on the evening.
