FORT MYERS, Florida (Feb. 21, 2021) - The FIU softball team closed out its time in Fort Myers with a win over Florida Gulf Coast on Sunday afternoon, as the Panthers conclude their first road trip of the year.
The Panthers took a 3-2 decision over the Eagles, after falling earlier in the day to Northern Illinois by a score of 3-0.
Despite falling behind 1-0 to FGCU, the Panthers bounced back with a two-run RBI in the third inning from to give FIU the lead. doubled in another run in the fourth frame, as FIU held on to the eventual 3-2 victory.
