MIAMI (Feb. 5, 2020) – The FIU men's basketball team welcomed Florida Atlantic for a Conference USA game on Wednesday night. The Panthers topped the Owls 69-50 in front of a season-best crowd of 2,734 fans.
With the win, the FIU squad moved to 16-8 overall and 7-4 in C-USA play. FAU goes to 14-10 this season and 6-5 against league opponents after picking up the loss.
The Panthers opened the game shooting 38.7% from the field and holding FAU scoreless from behind the arc. The squad held the 4-0 advantage in blocked shots and took a 32-23 lead into the locker room.
