MIAMI – FIU beach volleyball coach Rita Buck-Crockett announced the signing of twins Lindsey and Lauren Hattaway (Lenexa, Kansas/Shawnee Mission West) to National Letters of Intent during the recent signing period.
"I am very excited about the twins," said Buck-Crockett. "They are feisty and extremely hard workers. They will definitely add the spark that we look for in our defenders."
The Hattaway's earned second place at the New York AVP First Event in 2018 in New York City, and won the silver bracket at the USA Volleyball (USAV) Nationals in 2017. In addition, the twins were selected to the Midwest Region USAV A2 beach program in 2017, finishing third in that tournament, and placed fifth in the 2017 American Beach Volleyball Nationals.
