MIAMI — FIU Athletics, in conjunction with the NCAA, released its Graduate Success Rate (GSR) for the 2018-19 entering cohort.
On Wednesday, the NCAA released its most recent GSR scores, measuring the total over the last four years. FIU posted a GSR of 86 percent for the 2018-19 incoming class. Over the past four years, FIU's GSR sits at an 88 percent average, right on par with the Division I national average.
FIU's baseball and women's basketball programs were above the 90 percent GSR threshold as both groups posted a 93 percent GSR.
The GSR is an NCAA measurement that does not penalize schools for transfer student-athletes that leave eligible.
