MIAMI – Junior Carmen Perez has been selected to the 11-member 2023 Conference USA All-Academic Team, which was announced by league officials on Friday afternoon.
Perez has appeared in 41 games and made 38 starts, primarily as the team's designated hitter all while maintaining a 3.74 grade point average as an International Relations major.
Her nine doubles currently lead FIU and are the 10th-most in the conference. She has recorded multiple hits in 10 games this season and enjoyed a stretch where she posted at least a pair of hits for four consecutive games.
