MIAMI (March 2, 2021) – Alessandro Campoy of FIU men's soccer has been named Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Campoy scored two goals in FIU's win over Fort Lauderdale on Monday, March 2, and led all players with eight shots and five on-goal. The attacking midfielder scored just before the half against the Eagles on a set-piece opportunity, finding a cross in the box and firing it past the UFTL keeper. Campoy scored on a penalty kick situation after the break to notch the brace and put the Panthers up by a score of 5-0.
