TAMPA, Florida (December 11, 2017) - The FIU men's basketball team tipped off its short two-game Sunshine State road trip on Monday with a 65-53 win over USF at the Sun Dome in Tampa. The win is the third-straight for the Panthers and improves their record to 5-4 on the year while the Bulls drop to 4-6 on the season.
Brian Beard, Jr. (Rancho Cucamonga, California) led FIU in scoring with a career-high 28 points, while Eric Lockett (Warner Robins, Georgia) added 18 points and Hassan Hussein (Lorton, Virginia) chipped in with a career-high 13 points in the win.
