DALLAS, Texas – The FIU baseball program fell in the series finale against No. 20 Dallas Baptist, 9-3, on Sunday afternoon at Horner Ballpark.
The Panthers (26-22, 9-11 CUSA) jumped out to an early 3-0 lead through the first two innings, but the Patriots (33-13, 16-5 CUSA) rallied back with to claim the series sweep.
FIU opened the scoring in the top of the first when Brylan West led off with a single, followed by Andrew Ildefonso's sixth home run of the season — a deep shot to left field — giving the Panthers a 2-0 advantage.
