Moments after running back Anthony Jones gave FIU a 7-0 lead over Indiana in last week’s season opener, there was a swagger to the Panthers.
“Hey, that’s one!” Jones yelled at his teammates on the sidelines. “I’ve got two more in me.”
Jones wasn’t exactly right, but he did have a big game, rushing 15 times for 88 yards, a 5.9 average and two scores.
FIU lost to the Hoosiers 38-28 but likely earned some respect along the way.
