UF’s Keyontae Johnson presses forward, vows to play basketball again with or without Gators

GAINESVILLE — UF basketball star Keyontae Johnson said he no longer thinks about the day that changed his life, put his career on hold and his playing future in doubt.

Johnson’s collapse on the court at Florida State remains fresh in the minds of many who watched the harrowing Dec. 12 incident. The 22-year-old instead focuses on what is ahead for him.

“I don’t even go back to that day,” Johnson told the Orlando Sentinel. “I just keep going, really.”

Johnson vows to eventually play the game he loves again; he’s just not sure whether it will be with Gators.
