The upside: The addition of Notre Dame graduate transfer Malik Zaire brings a new dynamic to the backfield, and it has more to do than just the fact he is a dual-threat quarterback who can make plays with his arm and his legs. He also brings leadership skills and much-needed experience to the position. He is clearly a positive addition to the quarterback room whether he starts, plays coming off the bench, or doesn’t play at all.
