The Florida Gators are not expected to defend their 2020 SEC East division title, according to a vote of media members around the league.
Georgia is expected to reassert itself in the East a season after losing 44-28 to the Gators during their annual rivalry game to pave the way for UF’s first division title and conference title game appearance since 2016. The Bulldogs reeled off three straight East division titles in 2017-19.
Defending conference champion Alabama is expected to reign supreme once again in the league overall. In 2020, the Crimson Tide rolled to a 13-0 season and their sixth national title under legendary coach Nick Saban and have won five of the past seven conference title games.
