Tommy Mace will trade in his orange and blue for red white and blue this week.
Mace will travel to Cary, North Carolina to take part in the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team Training Camp. The camp, essentially a try out, runs rom June 27-July 1.
Mace took over as the Gators’ Friday night starter last season and was the most consistent pitcher on the staff all season. Mace finished 2019 with an 8-5 record in 16 starts. In two seasons he’s compiled a 13-5 record in 42 appearances.
The Collegiate National team will be manages by Dan McDonnell (Louisville) with Mark Kingston (South Carolina), Tony Skole (The Citadel), and Greg Moore (Saint Mary’s) as assistants.
