The Florida Gators picked up their 18th commitment for the Class of 2026 on Saturday afternoon from an out-of-state athlete.

Tight end Heze Kent (6-6, 310, Brunswick, GA. High) committed to the Florida Gators over Miami and Texas on Saturday.

“For the next three or four years, I’ll be taking my talents to the University of Florida,” Kent said.

Kent, who’s listed as an athlete, is expected to play tight end once he gets to Gainesville, but in high school, he has played both running back and tight end.

The Georgia native who has been one of the Gators’ top targets since picking up an offer took an official visit to Gainesville in June and then visited both Miami and Texas.
