Emergence of the wide receiver corps
Spring camp saw the rise of multiple wide receivers in coach Dan Mullen’s offense. With the return of senior wide receiver Van Jefferson filling the top spot on the depth chart, the battle for No. 2 on the other side of the field was fierce.
Senior wide receiver Tyrie Cleveland flourished in practice and is believed to have earned himself a more prominent role in the rotation after hauling in just 18 passes for 212 yards and three touchdowns in 2018.
