Tim Tebow is one who looks at the positives in all situations.
So Tebow, for one, doesn’t view the legacy of UF’s 2006 and 2008 BCS title teams as tarnished despite a recent ESPN.com story that examined the underbelly of the Urban Meyer era.
The story, written by former Gator beat writer Jeremy Fowler, documented team in-fighting, favoritism by the coaching staff and concerns about mounting off-field arrests. Tebow, the starting quarterback on UF’s 2008 BCS title team and a backup to Chris Leak on the 2006 team, declined to be interviewed for the piece.
“There were definitely some ups and downs, but it was such a blessing to be part of those teams,” said Tebow, in town with SEC Nation to analyze Saturday’s Florida-Tennessee game.
