Steve Spurrier among candidates for College Football Hall of Fame

Florida Gators legend Steve Spurrier is among the candidates on the ballot for the College Football Hall of Fame.

The ballot, released Wednesday morning, also includes former Gators defensive tackle Brad Culpepper, Miami linebacker Ray Lewis, Florida State defensive back Terrell Buckley and Tennessee quarterback Peyton Manning.
Spurrier is under consideration as a coach for his time at Duke, UF and South Carolina. He's the winningest coach ever at UF and South Carolina, and his Gators tenure included the 1996 national title.

Culpepper was a first-team All-American in 1991 and a part of the Gators' first SEC title team before spending six years with the Bucs.
