As the dust is starting to settle on Florida hiring Jon Sumrall, we here at Hail Florida Hail are still going to have our reservations until we see his plan in action. But, to Sumrall's credit, he has taken the skepticism of the Gator fanbase and been willing to attack it head-on.
In addition to a persona that could fire up any fanbase, there is a pathway Florida fans can make themselves believe 2026 will be the year the Gators climb back into the top 15 and beyond.
But even if one doesn't think being a playoff contender in 2026 is in the cards for Florida, there is no mistaking that the Gators are in better shape than these six other notable Power Four programs heading into 2026.
