Here we are after only one week and we already have quarterback controversies in Gainesville and Tallahassee.

Who cares if Emory Jones has waited patiently four years to get his chance to start for the Florida Gators? There are some impatient UF fans who are ready to put Jones on the shelf in favor of beastly backup Anthony Richardson. There’s no question Richardson, the big-bodied, fleet-footed 6-foot-4, 235-pounder, looked otherworldly in running seven times for 160 yards during the 35-14 season-opening victory over FAU, but can we at least give Jones more than ONE start before throwing him on the scrap heap?
