Randy Shannon will be Florida's defensive coordinator for the Outback Bowl, as Geoff Collins moves on to his new duties at Temple, a Florida source told The Sun.
Shannon has been Florida's associate head coach and co-defensive coordinator the past two seasons.
Mark DeBastiani, the Gators' Quality Control coach on defense, will work with the linebackers through the bowl, the source said.
Any assistant coaching hires will be made following the bowl, the source said.
Collins was the Gators' defensive coordinator the past two seasons. He was named Temple's head coach Tuesday.
