It’s Florida-Florida State week, and one of the most memorable games in a series filled with memorable games was that ’97 matchup; heck, it’s one of the most memorable games in Florida history, period. Florida was the defending national champion but had lost twice, at LSU and to Georgia in Jacksonville; that loss stung, as it was the first time Steve Spurrier had lost to the Bulldogs as Florida’s coach.
