Returning talent along line, at RB means Florida better be productive on ground in 2018

Call it the “Mullen Mash.” Maybe the “Mauling Mullens.”

But make no mistake: Florida’s ground game must be lethal this fall.

First-year coach Dan Mullen has enjoyed a fortuitous January. First, left tackle Martez Ivey put off entering the draft to return to school. The Gators received another dose of good news when running back Jordan Scarlett was able to rejoin the team after being suspended for the 2017 season for credit card fraud.

We know Mullen will need to work wonders to get Florida’s passing game off the ground. The best way to support it is by establishing a dominant running game.
