Florida redshirt freshman quarterback Kyle Trask reportedly will have surgery Wednesday to repair torn meniscus in his knee. He injured the knee two weeks ago in spring practice, and still played in UF’s spring game last Friday.
GatorCountry.com reported on the surgery and said Trask will need up to six weeks of recovery time. He is expected to be ready in advance of fall camp, which begins the first week of August.
Trask battled with fellow redshirt freshman Feleipe Franks during the spring for the starting quarterback job; Franks emerged from spring as the starter.
