For the first time since 2014 when he was a Gator, Pete Alonso will not be wearing blue and orange in 2026. He will dawn a shade of orange, but he now becomes a member of the bird-land joining the Baltimore Orioles in a trade that just shocked the world.

From a Gator to being nicknamed, “Polar Bear,” all of Pete Alonso’s stats have resided in New York, until Wednesday. Sources confirmed to ESPN’s Jeff Passan that after nine years with the New York Mets organization (six in the big leagues), Pete Alonso is jumping ship from the NL East and making his way over to a powerhouse-stacked AL East division as a member of the Baltimore Orioles on a five-year, $155 million contract.
