Oregon AD Rob Mullens is new CFP selection committee chairman; UF AD Scott Stricklin added to group

Rob Mullens, who has been athletic director at Oregon since 2010, is the new chairman of the College Football Payoff selection committee. He replaces Texas Tech AD Kirby Hocutt, who had served as chairman the past two seasons.

In addition, Florida athletic director Scott Stricklin is one of six new members of the selection committee.

As chairman, Mullens will run the committee meetings and serve as the spokesman once weekly rankings are unveiled.

Then-Arkansas AD Jeff Long was chairman in the first two seasons of the CFP (2014 and 2015).

Stricklin is one of six new members of the selection committee; the others are former college sports journalist Paola Boivin, who now is a professor at Arizona State, Oklahoma AD Joe Castiglione, former coach Ken Hatfield, businessman/former NFL star Ronnie Lott and Georgia Tech AD Todd Stansbury.
