Florida’s men’s basketball team landed their second transfer portal commitment of the offseason when Ohio guard AJ Brown pledged to the Gators on Tuesday afternoon.
Brown, a 6’4, 210-pound guard with two years of eligibility remaining, averaged 13.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.1 assists during his 2024/25 campaign. He’s also the brother of current Florida guard Isaiah Brown, a rising sophomore who appeared in 19 games last season.
The first thing that stands out about Brown’s game is his offensive efficiency having shot 47.1% from the field and 38.8% from three-point range last season. Brown is most effective off the catch where he hit 41% of his three-point attempts, according to Gator Country’s own Eric Fawcett.
