Notebook: LB Antonio Morrison not surprised by recovery, players pleased with strength program

Jim McElwain characterized Antonio Morrison’s speedy recovery as “unbelievable” on Monday.

But Morrison doesn’t agree with his coach. Although the Gators middle linebacker will be available for Florida’s season opener against New Mexico State on Saturday just eight months after suffering a serious knee injury during the Birmingham Bowl on Jan. 3, Morrison isn’t surprised.

“I don’t think it’s a miracle,” Morrison said after practice Tuesday.
