Dressed in an orange-and-blue tie, new Florida men’s basketball coach Michael White made a strong impression when introduced Monday morning.
White, 38, vowed the Gators will play “hard and fast” and presented a 100-day plan to Florida athletic director Jeremy Foley in making the transition to Gainesville.
White said he had no trepidation in replacing longtime Florida coach Billy Donovan, but said it was an honor to have his style of play compared to Donovan’s.
“I feel very fortunate to inherit such a successful and proud Gator basketball program,” White said.
