The coronavirus pandemic has weighed heavily on the mind of Florida basketball coach Mike White. And like many of us, White would start his day catching up on the latest news surrounding the devastating virus.
“I know what I read and at one point a couple of months ago, I tried to stop reading so much,” White said during a videoconference Wednesday. “I tried to stop waking up and reading all the bad news about COVID. There’s so much negativity out there. It’s tough stuff to read.”
White isn’t sure if his Gators will start the 2020-21 season on time or whether there will even be a season, but the 43-year-old isn’t going to let that affect his team’s preparation.
