Former Lafayette High School and Florida standout defensive tackle Reggie McGrew has been added to the Gators’ strength and conditioning staff.

"He's just an all-time great who wanted to get back involved and we're excited to give him that opportunity,” UF coach Jim McElwain said. “That's really important to us. He'll be a big part of what we're doing."

McGrew played for the Gators from 1995-98 and was a first-team All-SEC selection in 1998. He left UF after his junior season and was selected in the first round of the NFL draft by the San Francisco 49ers.
