McElwain also said Treon Harris — expected to move from quarterback to wide receiver — is out for spring.
“We’re without a couple guys who haven’t been with our team since January in Treon and Antonio,” McElwain said at a pre-spring news conference.
He provided no reason, though he did say both have been “doing some schoolwork.” He was asked if the players were suspended and answered, “You won’t see those guys out there at practice. That’ll be the last we talk about that.”
He did not offer any other details.
Callaway is Florida’s lone proven offensive threat.
