OKLAHOMA CITY, OK. – Korbe Otis was recognized on Tuesday evening as the NCAA Division I Softball’s Elite 90 winner at the 2025 NCAA Women’s College World Series banquet in Oklahoma City.
Otis, the 2025 Southeastern Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year, graduated earlier this month with a 4.0 GPA in biology.
She has plans to attend medical school to become a surgeon specializing in cardiothoracic or orthopedic surgery who works with athletes.
On May 3, she was the No. 6 draft pick in the 2025 Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) draft.
Otis is the first Florida softball player and the fifth Gator across all sports to win the Elite 90 honor, joining Bennett Andersen (men’s basketball) in 2025, Alex McMurtry (gymnastics) and Josie Kuhlman (women’s tennis) both in 2017 and Emily Lortz (lacrosse) in 2024.
