The Florida Gators athletic department released a statement from Keyontae Johnson’s family on Wednesday afternoon providing an update on his health.
Florida has been adamant about allowing Johnson and his family to manage any release of information on his situation since his collapse back in December. The statement should provide some relief to all of those who have patiently waited for more news on the junior forward.
According to his family, his collapse was not COVID-19 related and he will maintain a coaching role with the Gators for the remainder of the season as his health continues to be monitored.
