Jim McElwain hopes to improve Gators recruiting inside state of Florida

Jim McElwain admits his staff needs to improve in one critical area.

The Gators would like to see better results when recruiting the state of Florida. The Gators signed four of the state’s top 50 recruits this year, according to the 247Sports composite rankings, compared to Florida State’s eight and Miami’s 10.

“We’ve still got a long ways to go, but we’ll continue to work that in all those areas,” McElwain said on signing day of recruiting Florida.
