The Florida Gators picked up their 7th commitment of the 2023 class on Tuesday afternoon when an in-state prospect committed to Florida.
Defensive end Isaiah Nixon (6-4, 215, Saint Petersburg, FL. Lakewood) committed to Florida just one day after leaving the UCF class after he was in Gainesville over the weekend.
“Home!! #GoGators,” Nixon tweeted.
Nixon has been on campus several times and has built a solid relationship with outside linebackers coach Mike Peterson that dates back two years now.
“Coach Peterson is a great coach,” Nixon said of Peterson. “He coached at South Carolina, he had a lot of players he coached go to the NFL and that’s where I’m trying to be at.
