The Florida Gators announced suspensions for two players just before kickoff against UT Martin.
Brad Stewart and Luke Ancrum “did not live up to the Gator standard,” according to Florida.
This is the second game in a row that Stewart has missed for “not living up to the Gator standard.” The safety from Louisiana had worked his way into a starting role in 2018 before off field issues starting affecting his playing time. That seems to be the case for him again in 2019. Compounding the suspension is the absence of starting safety Jeawon Taylor today with a shoulder injury.
