Gators Q&A: Who’s starting QB? And when does Florida fix its offensive line?

GAINESVILLE — It’s not quite a controversy, but it’s certainly a dilemma for the No. 24 Gators.

Florida’s starting quarterback with be either Aaron Philo “OR” Tramell Jones Jr., as listed on coach Jon Sumrall’s latest depth chart as he continues to weigh who’ll be QB1 against Oklahoma on Saturday night in the Swamp.

Sumrall acknowledged Monday he was leaning one way, but wanted to get through some practices before making the decision.

Jones replaced Philo after the starter threw two interceptions in Florida’s first three series in last weekend’s 27-8 loss to Georgia. Jones’ playmaking ability when under duress appeared to give the Gators a spark.
