GAINESVILLE — The Florida Gators open spring football practices Tuesday with new coach Jon Sumrall, armed with 50 newcomers, 62 returners and plenty of ground to make up after a 4-8 season.
The Gators will hold 15 practices, culminating with the annual Orange and Blue spring game at noon on April 11 in the Swamp.
Questions, position battles and new faces abound during a pivotal stretch for Sumrall’s program.
