GAINESVILLE — The success of the 2022 Florida Gators could hinge on a three-game, four-week stretch against SEC West crossover foe LSU, SEC East rival Georgia and a visit a week later to Texas A&M.
While Dan Mullen’s 11th-ranked Gators (2-1, 0-1 SEC) are focused on Saturday night’s visit from Tennessee (2-1, 0-0), the SEC released next season’s schedules Tuesday for the league’s 14 schools.
The Gators will open with a Sept. 3, 2022 visit from the Pac-12′s Utah Utes, where Mullen served as Urban Meyer’s quarterbacks coach in 2003-04.
An Oct. 15, 2022, visit from LSU highlights the Gators’ seven-game home schedule and begins a challenging four-week stretch likely to determine the fortunes of Mullen’s squad.
