When it was announced that Buster Faulkner was Jon Sumrall’s pick to be the offensive coordinator for the Gators, there was a sense of hope from Florida fans that Sumrall might just work out after all. But then time marched on, and there was no official announcement from Florida itself that Faulkner had been hired, leading to rumors and innuendo that Faulkner might never make it to Gainesville.
But alas, after a brief delay, Florida has officially announced that Buster Faulkner will be the offensive coordinator for the 2026 season.
