The University of Florida is close to finalizing the financial deal on the proposed O’Connell Center renovation project that would allow construction to begin at the conclusion of the 2015-16 basketball season, UF athletic director Jeremy Foley said Wednesday.
“Yeah, I think we’re getting close,” Foley said. “The process now is to finalize the pricing. We close on that. Once we finalize the pricing. … first of all, again, it’s not our building, it’s a joint effort between us (UAA) and the university. But that’s a university facility.
