GAINESVILLE — The Florida Gators’ first spring game under new coach Jon Sumrall is set for April 11 at noon in the Swamp.

UF announced the game date Monday as the 2026 Gators continue winter workouts designed to create a new culture following a 4-8 season and a roster overhaul.

Sumrall told reporters Saturday players will not be allowed to wear the iconic Gator head logo on their clothing until he sees results.

“We haven’t earned a damn thing,” he said.

Sumrall returns 37 scholarship players, added two dozen transfers and welcomed 17 early enrollees from the 19-player 2026 signing class.
