A special report from the UAA on the Florida Gators softball team:
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – No. 5 Florida fell for the first time during the 2021 season in a 7-2 decision to No. 16 Florida State at JoAnne Graf Field Saturday evening.
Florida State (11-4) was able to even the 2021 series with the Gators (14-1) and the two teams have split the two-game set every year dating back to 2017.
The scoring opened in the 2nd inning of tonight’s game as the Seminoles were able to end a 10-inning scoring drought against the Gators, which dated back to the 5thinning of the lone 2020 meeting, with five runs on four hits.
