His numbers were good. His poise and pocket presence seemed fine. He found the open receivers (for the most part), took care of the football and Florida won the game.
Overall, it was a solid but unspectacular debut for quarterback Luke Del Rio.
And there's nothing wrong with solid.
“Luke, you know, did all right,” UF coach Jim McElwain said. “Probably about six throws that I know he would like back. He had four drops, I think. You take those throws back, I thought he was good as far as not taking sacks. He did a good job of that.
