After a one-year absence, Florida is back in the postseason.
It’s not the big tournament, but the Gators will open NIT play as a second seed and will face seventh-seeded North Florida in Jacksonville on Tuesday night (9 p.m., ESPU).
Despite being a higher seed, the Gators will play the game at UNF’s campus because of the O’Connell Center’s ongoing $64.5 million interior renovation project.
The Gators (19-14) had a chance for an NCAA Tournament bid in early February, but lost six of their last nine to fail to reach March Madness for the second straight season.
