It was a busy week on the first for the University of Florida and the Florida Gators. First, the Florida Gators softball team won their Super Regional, earning a berth to Oklahoma City and the Women’s College World Series where they will look to defend their National Championship from a season ago.
After losing their opening game in Hoover, Alabama in the SEC Tournament, the Florida Gators baseball team won four straight on their way to the seventh SEC Tournament Championship in school history. The tournament championship helped the Gators earn a National Seed in the NCAA Tournament — the only school in the country to be named a National Seed in six of the last seven seasons.
