During his time with the Florida Gators, R.J. Moten was mostly used as a rotational safety/linebacker. After taking 400+ snaps during both years he played with Michigan, Moten came to Gainesville, was burned on the first play against Utah, and took a combined 276 snaps during the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
He went undrafted but made the most of it and spent this past spring in the UFL, playing for the Michigan Panthers.
Moten was impressive enough that he has signed with the New England Patriots after New England had two players of their own go down with injuries.
