Florida Gators add fuel to offense with recruiting Class of 2016

Anyone even slightly familiar with how Florida’s 2015 season played out would know exactly what the approach should be to this recruiting cycle.

Find some offense. Somewhere, somehow. Sign quarterbacks. Sign wide receivers (a bunch of them). Sign running backs. Add some offensive playmakers to go along with what has been a stout defense over the past several seasons.

Well, coach Jim McElwain and his staff seemed to follow that game plan and executed it quite nicely.

The Gators added a significant portion of a potentially potent offense Wednesday on National Signing Day. The big news came early in the day, with the announcement that elite wide receiver Tyrie Cleveland had flipped to Florida from Houston.
