Florida football recruiting: Quick-twitch LB Tyron Hopper commits to Gators

The Florida Gators’ efforts in the 2019 recruiting cycle appear to be slowly bearing fruit. With Peach State linebacker Tyron Hopper making a public pledge to Dan Mullen’s program on Thursday, the Gators are up to two four-star commits in the month of April.

Hopper is a 6’2”, 200ish-pound four-star linebacker from Roswell, Georgia, who attends the high school of the same name. Ranked No. 332 nationally in the 247Sports Composite, Hopper sits near the bottom of the nation’s Composite four-star players for the 2019 recruiting cycle.

Hopper’s high school coach telling 247Sports that he plays fast bears out in his highlights, however, as he shows excellent burst off the edge and closing speed in pursuit.
